About
Lisa L. Moore, LICSW, PhD has been described by friends, family, colleagues, and students as a connector—a bridge builder between people. It's a role that has defined her 26-year career as a social worker, facilitator, educator, and therapist.
Lisa was first introduced to couples therapy and relational cultural theory during her graduate education at Smith College School for Social Work in the 1990s. Since then, she has trained extensively in Relational Cultural Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, and Psychodynamic practice. She has been an invited speaker at major social work conferences, psychoanalytic institutes, and organizations serving the LGBTQ+ community..
Her current work explores how people navigate complementary traumas in relationships and how the ending of relationships can be a transformative part of our relational evolution. Discerning Relationships emerged from this conviction: that with the right support and framework, the process of rebuilding after divorce can lead to more authentic, sustainable connections.
